As more and more people are being vaccinated, and as businesses, restaurants, entertainment, and sports venues are opening up, we’re seeing the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel. Many people of all ages have experienced depression and anxiety resulting from stay-at-home restrictions. Some have lost friends and loved ones to COVID-19, some have lost jobs and are experiencing financial and food insecurity. Kids and teens have lost valuable educational and social interactions. And for people with mental health diagnoses, the loss of face-to-face services and supports has had a major impact. There are steps that can be taken as part of an overall positive approach to mental health. Our panel of experts discussed the importance of exercise, mindfulness, and nutrition as part of a holistic approach to mental health.
