Help Support Ukrainian Refugees

Updated: Mar 6, 2022

Since its conception Team Up for Hope has been dedicated to helping individuals struggling with mental health and addiction. Over the last couple of years, we have worked hard to raise money and awareness for those issues.

A new crisis has caught our attention and we feel compelled to take action.

As the invasion of Ukraine continues we have decided that we want to do everything we can to assist the individuals affected. More than 1 million people have fled to neighboring countries including Poland, Romania, Moldova, Slovakia, and Hungary. This number is only expected to rise as this crisis unfolds and is projected to end up being over 4 million. Refugees at the Polish border are having to wait up to 60 hours, in freezing temperatures before being able to cross.

"At this rate, the situation looks set to become Europe’s largest refugee crisis this century,” said The UN refugee agency

We have decided that for the month of March, and possibly beyond, all of the donations we receive will be going to assist the people of Ukraine. We will be partnering with worthy organizations at the forefront of this crisis that are providing aid to Ukrainian refugees. One of our founders has connections in Poland. We are collaborating with them to ensure that we will be donating to worthy organizations that are working in the refugees’ best interest.

Team Up for Hope has already donated $1,000 to a small organization called Homo Faber, which is based near Lublin, Poland.

They have been tasked with providing the refugees with services such as:

  • Food

  • Shelter

  • Mental support

  • Legal assistance

We are looking to raise much more than that and we need your help to achieve that goal.

We will continue to donate to Homo Faber and other organizations providing refugee aid. We want to make it easy for anyone to donate to help the refugees fleeing Ukraine. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all donations sent to us are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Please click here to donate if you are able.
